DECEMBER 2013

Our first Christmas in our new house.  The pictures below were some of our pictures from our 2013 Christmas card.  I still can't believe how fast they are growing up.  Yes, Zachery is starting to have a hard time finding his smile.  Is that normal for a seven year old?

Zachery's 7th Birthday

 Yes, we are still in love with Star Wars.  This year Angry Birds is very popular, so he actually asked for several games, a movie and of course Lego's  I absolutely love how his cake turned out. We continued the tradition of going to the grocery store for him to pick out his birthday cake.  It is a special time for us and it is fun for me to watch him try and pick out his birthday cake.

Snow in Dallas in December

Can you believe it, snow in Dallas in December.  It is a rare occasion, we normally don't have snow until February.  But as you can see from the picture, the snow was actually ice and very slippery!!
 

Christmas in Virgina

We decided to visit Jay's family in Springfield, Virgina right before Christmas day.  We were able to take a trip into Washington D.C. and saw the beautiful Christmas tree and train that surrounds it.  We also went to the Flight Museum, which was fun!  While we were there Zayne actually got an ear infection, poor little guy, but he continued to smile (you would never know he was in pain!).  One afternoon Jay's family went to the park to play football and Zachery was so excited to be part of the older kids.  He attempted to catch a football and it landed right under his eye.  He tried so hard not to cry and he was so brave.  I really was proud of him, as he continued to say "I'm fine mom, it was just an accident".
