This month was even busier than last month, well I think it was front loaded and then it died down by Christmas.
Trip to Austin
My parent were still here and took Zachery and Zayne to the Austin area to spend time with my Aunt Laurie and her family. Apparently they had a blast, jumping on a blow up mattress "thing" and making rafts and throwing rocks (which the boys could seriously do all day!!). I was able to speak with them at night via Skype, which was so nice since I missed them terribly!
Dallas Christmas Parade
We went to the Dallas Christmas Parade for the first time this year, which might have been overwhelming for Zayne! But I think that Zachery had fun!! The boys went through this tunnel that the downtown Dallas original Neiman Marcus has that runs through half of the display cases.
Zachery's Birthday
We threw Zachery a surprise 6th birthday party and my Dad helped (okay, he really did all the work!!) me build a club house, which is something he has been speaking about for months!! Isn't it amazing!! Thank you, Papa (Dad) for all your hard work!! The surprise birthday party was a hit! I think everyone was able to make it, which made it a huge success. I'm not sure if Zachery truly knew what was going on, but he thought it was fun after he realized that everyone was there to celebrate his birthday.
Last Night with Grandparents (Mom & Dad)
It was a sad day when we had to say goodbye to Nana & Papa! But we sent them off in style, with a day at the Dallas Arboretum taking wondering photographs and having a picnic dinner at sunset on the water at White Rock Lake. Thank you Nana & Papa for a wonderful trip!! There trip to visit was perfect and timely because the boy's nanny told me that her last week that she would be watching the boys was right before they came and then our neighbor volunteered to help me after my parents left, which was a blessing!!
Lego Land and Adventure Landing
We went to Lego Land!! The boys had a blast with karaoke and building out of Lego's! Yes, Zayne loves to sing!! He is very musical and has always has been!! Zachery loved building go-carts to race down this ramp they have there and let's face it he love Lego's!! Then on our way home we stopped at Adventure Landing and rode go-carts ... yes I was able to persuade the workers (I think it was because we were the only ones there) to allow Zayne to ride (I mean he is only 2!!)!! As you can see from the video he did a fine job!!
Santa's Village
We of course continued our annual tradition of visiting Santa's Village at the City of Richardson City Hall, we even took a sleigh ride this year and wrote a letter to Santa! The boys seriously are starting to like scaring me!! They jump from here to there and everywhere and whatever Zachery does Zayne has to do too!! He is growing up to fast because all he wants to do is keep up with Zachery ....
Christmas
Christmas was a blast this year, the boys went with Charlie back to Iowa for the annual Wieland Christmas! I only had one photograph from that trip of Zayne and his Cousin. But from what I understand they had a great time and hit the pinata "really hard"!! For Christmas this year the two big items were swords and skate boards! We had to wear this silly green hat when it was their turn to open a present and then we spent a lot of time outside building a snowman, splashing through puddles and attempting to ride our skate boards!!
