2009 FAMILY PHOTO & 2 YEAR OLD PHOTOs

We were finally able to get our 2009 family photo taken! I have to say it was very difficult. Zachery was very "squirmy" and wouldn't sit still for more than 5 seconds. The poor photographer was very patient with him ... I am just glad we were able to get a couple of good shots! Enjoy!!

FINGER PAINTING

Is it already February? Let's see what has Zachery done since the beginning of the year. For one of his stocking stuffers Zachery received finger paints for the bathtub .... it was a huge success, as you can see from the photo's below, we have a true Picasso! We have started jumping off ... EVERYTHING! However, there are some things that Charlie and I will ask him not to jump off, such as a 4 or 5 foot slide. But does a really good job jumping and landing on his feet! He was so excited when he first discovered he could jump off "stuff". We were at church and Charlie and I happened to be volunteering in Child Care. Charlie all of sudden said, "look at our son". Sure enough he was jumping off a plastic slide that is probably about 2 feet off the ground ... it was GREAT fun and it totally wore him out.

It has been so much taking Zachery to the church nursery lately! It was like things had clicked that this is the fun place I get to play with all kinds of toys and hang out with many of friends! We have even stopped crying when we take the exit off the freeway to go to church, this is a huge accomplishment! He even ran into the ladies arms that checks us in last weekend!

Swimming. Our first swimming lesson didn't go as well as I thought it would. I think there were alot of circumstances contributing to that (i.e., I was isn't in the water with him, he could see 'dog', and it was nap time!). Anyways, the second time went very well!! I was in the water with him and his instructor. He blew bubbles and jump off the side of the pool into our arms. He had a blast and I had a blast watching him!! (He even allowed his instructor to put him on his back to practice floating!!) I probably will not be able to get any photos until I am able to stay out of the water .... I am not sure when that will be as of yet!

SINGING

Despite the inability to keep Zachery in Charlie's lap during Musikgarten class, the teachings are truly taking "hold"! Turn up the volume and enjoy this video!!

BUILDING BLOCKS

So we have always known that our child is gifted and talented, just kidding! Zachery enjoys building with his blocks (and other things) and then "knocks" them down!! But Charlie has taught him a new trick ... check it out! Enjoy the commentary :)

OUR TALENTED FOOTBALL PLAYER

As we mentioned last month we wanted to catch Zach on camera kicking a football. Even though this clip doesn't really show his ability to "kick" a football, one gets a huge laugh at his running (which he enjoys watching his feet), stopping, and of course attempting to kick the football ... and hits Dad's hand instead!

SPINNING

I was able to video tape Zachery and his infamous spinning techniques! He truly is a better spinner than Charlie and I put together. Anyways, this is one of his favorite things to do .... enjoy!!
