OCTOBER 2013

Don't you love these pictures that Zachery drew??   The top is of Zach and Zayne and the one the bottom is a self-portrait.

Halloween 2013, yes that is superman on the right (aka, Zayne) and Obi Wan Kenobi on the left (aka Zachery).  So, Zachery wanted to be a Werewolf for Halloween this year, but when the costume arrived it was just to scary for him wear.  After some tears and much searching through the costume box, he decided it would be okay to be Obi Wan Kenobi. We walked around the new neighborhood then met up with our old neighbors.  There was one house that we walked past that had lots of ghosts.  Zayne and I had to run past the house and even then he was looking back the entire time until we turned the corner.  I am so thankful he still needs his mommy!

The above picture is of Zayne's preschool class on costume day!!

SEPTEMBER 2013

Zachery had another great soccer season! Snack time after each game ... a mad dash to treats!

Had to visit our old neighborhood which means visiting the creek that we love exploring!  What is it about throwing rocks?? Zach and Zayne can throw rocks for hours!!

This is the year of first for Zayne!  He was allowed to sign up for AWANA's this year as a cubbie.  The above picture is of him sitting during story time.  It brought so much joy to my heart to watch him enjoy the story.

Uncle Cal came into town to celebrate his 30th birthday for a week! The boys love their Uncle Cal, as you can see from the pictures above.

AUGUST 2013

We continue to enjoy going to the Children's Science Museum ... yes we watched a 3-D movie and played on the frogs outside, while enjoying our lunch!

Our adventure of the month was a trip to Caddo Lake, one of the only natural lakes here in Texas.  We road a steamboat, which the boys were actually able to drive or "captain".  We also alligators.

I can almost guarantee that little boy puppet shows are way different than little girls!  We have tons of crashes and eating each other!! But I have to say it is so enjoyable to listen to their imaginations!!

Zach climbing the tree in our front yard!

I love how peaceful they look after a fun day!

After moving to north Dallas this month, we had to make a hard decision and enrolled Zachery into the local public elementary school (Northwood Elementary School).  It was fun to see his self-confidence and self-esteem increase.  Additionally, Zayne was enrolled in Montessori School.  It was so hard to give up my dream of homeschooling the boys through middle school.  But they seemed to adjust well.
