APRIL 2017

April 2017

Six Flags Under Texas

Zayne and I were able to go to Six Flags, just the two of us, while Zachery attended a Fourth Grade sleep over at our church.  We arrived a little late, but we had so much fun! We even were able to connect with one of Zayne's close friends Graham.  We rode the Superman!!  I think Zayne has rode it before, but I had not and because he wanted to ride it, well ... we did it! I think that had to have been one of the scariest rides I have ever gone on!! It truly was an adventure! Love spending time with him!!

Around the House

As you can see, Zayne loves his baby sister and loves to read to her!! It is so sweet and I am so thankful he loves to read.  Not that Zach doesn't, but he seems to connect with Zylie differently and it is difficult to catch him on camera with his sister.

Chris Tomlin Concert

We took the boys to one of their first concerts at the Verizon Theater in Grand Prairie, Texas.  It was so much fun!!

Soccer

The Northwood Hills Soccer team season ended this month.  They did a GREAT job!

Down Syndrome Picnic - Sandy Lake Amusement Park

This was our first year attending the Down Syndrome Guild of Dallas at their annual family picnic event.  It was help at Sandy Lake Amusement Park here in Dallas and it was a blast! The boys and I were able to go on the paddle boats and on carnival rides.  We also rode a train that went around the entire park.  Zylie tried her very first popsicle, mango flavored, and we all have to say she LOVED it!!

Easter

We had a quiet Easter at home this year with several rounds of "hiding the eggs".  What a special memory to have with Allison, since it was her last year home before college.

JANURARY 2015

What a wonderful trip to Mineral Wells State Park with our sweet friend Alayanah and her mom Naomi.  We explored the beautiful rocks and played in the water.  Not pictured is us eating hot dogs cooked on a mini-hibachi grill and drinking hot chocolate.  It was a day filled with adventure!  As you can probably see it was cold here in Dallas, Texas and despite the frigid temperatures, that didn't stop them from getting wet and enjoying the water and sand.

We decided to explore the Greenbelt Trail that starts in Denton, Texas and follows the Elm Fork Trinity River north.  We didn't make it all the way to Johnson State Park, but we rode a long distance.  We saw some fun wildlife along the way.  I was so proud of Zayne and Zach for riding their bikes as long as they did!! They are both very strong!!

Zayne started playing indoor soccer.
