INDOOR SOCCER

Zayne played indoor soccer this year.  I have to be honest, he was so fearful of the coach yelling at him that he didn't move from his starting position, which in turn would make the coach yell at him. We couldn't win!  But he still would have a smile on his face after each game and he would run alot which made his little cheeks red.  

 RAY ROBERTS LAKE STATE PARK - GREENBELT TRAIL

It is so hard to find a good place to ride bikes, especially beginners, in the city ... So we decided to take an adventure on a very flat dirt trail.  The Ray Roberts Lake State Park - Greenbelt Trail is a 20-mile beginner biking trail from McKinney to Ray Roberts Lake.   We had a blast! I think we made it 5 miles before we needed to turn around.  Our legs started to hurt and it took awhile for us to get back to the car for our picnic lunch.  But I was sure proud of both boys! Yes we saw several armadillos, they even were trying to cross the trail!

MINERAL WELLS STATE PARK ADVENTURE 

On another weekend, we decided to go out to one of our favorite state parks, Mineral Wells with a friend and her daughter, Alaynnah.  We rode bikes again, but this time we had a dog that seemed to want to follow us and made everyone nervous.  So bike riding didn't last as long as we were hoping! But we took a hike and the kids were able to climb rocks and explore caves and then while we were cooking hot dogs and beans they decided to get muddy and wet! Which was fine by me ... I came prepared with towels and an extra change of clothes. Yes, it was a little chilly, but as you can see they really didn't care!

ZAYNE'S PLAY DATE 

Zayne has a group of friends that he takes Lil' Sluggers, a baseball class, with ... they are around the same age and seem to have a blast together.  As you can see they love dressing in costumes, playing with swords and guns and of course running around the backyard.  They are really a great group of boys!

FRED HUTCHKINS FUNDRAISER 

The owner of Jay's company had a fundraiser to raise money for leukemia.  It was a great evening to meet his former co-workers and the owner of his company! We had a wonderful evening!!
